I made this same cake for Aspyn for her 3rd birthday. Her cousin had her birthday a few months ago so we made it for her! I love this cake! So fun and princessy :)
So Colby's grandma turns 80 this week, and we're having a big family party for her today. So that mean, cake for 65 people. And sheet cakes....I don't particularly like sheet cakes, they are boring ;) But I took the time to make gumpaste flowers for her cake. They are so time consuming and these cakes took me all day yesterday assembling and making flowers (yes I'm still learning and hopefully can get faster at this). I also need to perfect writing on cakes, not too good at that. And I had some issues with the cakes themselves, but overall, I think she will like them. I made her favorite flowers, Gardenias and favorite colors in peach and light aqua, and even another sheet cake because her favorite cake is german chocolate, mine too! Good Choice! Hope she likes it, Happy Birthday Grandma!
My little man turned 8 years old today, and of course wanted a Spongebob cake! My kids love that little yellow sponge! So since we had a snow birthday party, tubing outside, we made Spongebob to go along with the "snow" theme! It turned out pretty cute, and all the kids were fighting over which piece of him to eat :)
My daughter's 5th birthday was today and she is in love with horses. So I made her a horse cake! It turned out awesome and it was just so much fun! She LOVED it!
So my hubby got hired on with the Utah Highway Patrol, so I made him a Trooper Badge Cake to take to work to tell his suprise! It was my first time using an air gun, and I must say, it was fun and I'm excited to make another using the air gun! It turned out good and I loved the gold metallic look just like a real badge!
So here's my latest, I made this for my good friend's daughter's birthday! She picked out the colors and although I couldn't picture it in my head while I was making it, it turned out SO CUTE! I love the colors!
My name is Amber - the cake diva as my hubby calls me :) I have always loved making cakes and watching those glamorous cake shows on TV. So I decided to go with the dream of making my own and hopefully have my own little shop, probably out of my house for now. Anyway, I just finished all of Wilton's 4 courses on cake decorating and am venturing out into the wild on my own. As you can see, these are my firsts cakes....as time goes on, and the more I make and practice, I hope to only get better. It's been so fun learning new techniques and my favorite making gumpaste flowers. My goal is to make and sell cakes of all sizes, shapes and varieties; from birthdays, to weddings, to anniversary, groom's cakes, baby and bridal showers, you name it, I will do it! Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave comments or questions.
